9 people were reportedly killed following a gun battle between militants and the Nigerian military in Bori village in Rivers state yesterday February 23rd. Yesterday I reported (here) that an unknown man beheaded a little girl. Well an update on that news reveals that the victim was actually his 3 years old niece for money rituals in Ondo State..

The 42-year-old man, Samuel Omosaba, has been arrested by the police for allegedly beheading his three-year-old niece on Tuesday at Ilepa quarters in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The suspect, who is jobless and single, was said to have contacted an herbalist in Ipe-Akoko for blood money. He was told to look for a baby’s head.

EFCC Arrests Diezani’s Husband Alison Madueke

A Cherubim and Seraphim Prophet apprehended for marketing human skull

The report reveals that The prophet identified as Gabriel Josaya fondly called Eli- Wakuku which is known and believed to be a prophet and founder of St. Moses Orimolade Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Osere area, Ilorin was caught selling human skull in Kwara state. Josaya was charged along with one Gabriel Moyosore and Yinusa Ayinla by the police for criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and unlawful possession of human head, contrary to sections 97, 348, 219 of penal code law. Over 16 million people in Nigeria visit facebook monthly- Nicola Mendelsohn facebook VP reveales

Facebook has announced that 16 million people in Nigeria visit its website every month with 100 percent of the visits coming on mobile. Facebook also said that 7.2 million people visit Facebook daily, with 7 million of them on mobile. Facebook shared the insights about Nigerians’ activity on the social networking website on Thursday, to coincide with the Friends Day and the site’s 12th anniversary on February 4.

Vice President, EMEA, at Facebook, Nicola Mendelsohn revealed that during the past five years, the global Facebook community has more than doubled in size, and its community in Nigeria continues to grow.

“For us, Friends Day in Nigeria was about hearing the stories of our community using Facebook our platform to grow and connect with others,” the vice president said in a press release.

“We have made amazing progress over the past year. We’re only 1 percent done in Nigeria and inspired to do even more in this fast-moving, mobile first country.”

Head of Africa for Facebook, Nunu Ntshingila added that this is the year Facebook would be deepen its partnerships with Nigerian businesses.

Ntshingila said: “We’re committed to Nigeria, and during this visit we shared insights with our business and agency partners on how to deliver personalised marketing, at scale, where people are – on their mobile phone. We want to make sure Nigeria – its people, its agencies and its businesses – realise the opportunity that technology and mobile bring.
